In 2013, Sloan went through recruitment at the University of Georgia. While she recruited for her sorority, she saw potential new members get stuck in the Overlooked Conversation Cycle and not stand out.

Since 2019, she has developed the CRUSH Method. This program gives potential new members a plan full of strategies. The strategies that allow potential new members:
- have members and the recruitment teams recognize their names
- walk into sorority recruitment empowered
- have unique conversations that leave the members wanting to continue to talk to them
- know how to play the game of sorority recruitment -- understand what to say to show interest and have the members excited to see them
